About me

My name is Donna Ferro. I was born in Buenos Aires, and raised near Miami, Florida. In 2016, I moved to Vienna, completely on my own. With Italian and Polish roots, settling in a place where those cultures intertwine felt strangely natural, almost like returning to a home I’d never lived in before.

Growing up with such a mixed background, my sense of style developed like a chameleon’s- fluid, intuitive, always shifting. My grandmother, an endlessly artistic woman with impeccable style, shaped the way I see clothing. Dressing up together, styling outfits, playing with textures and silhouettes…those moments became our feminine lineage’s love language. Fashion was never frivolous to us- it was creative expression, care, and connection.

In 2013, I began buying and reselling clothing as a hobby, always with a soft spot for vintage pieces. Photographing them, curating them, giving them new life- it all came naturally. In the beginning of 2024 I began working in a vintage store, and something awakened in me...an itch to create something of my own. To source. To design. To upcycle. To build a brand that reflected my own world.

My wardrobe today feels like a tiny vintage art museum. There are pieces I treasure so deeply I could never part with them- and others that I feel genuinely excited to pass on. This duality became the seed for Donna Ferro.

This shop is my baby, my pride and joy. Some pieces were collected specifically for the shop. Some lived with me for many years and are finally ready to move on. Others I’ve reimagined through upcycling. And some are brand-new creations often inspired by the vintage treasures I adore.
